Why use YouTube in the Classroom?
How do I access YouTube?
All staff and students of the LKDSB have a Google Apps for Education Account which provides access to YouTube. You can use this space to upload videos you have created for your classes, search for videos already posted on YouTube or to create playlists relevant to your class.

How can I use YouTube in the Classroom?
YouTube can be used in various ways. As a member of the LKDSB domain, you are able to create and upload videos to the site with a YouTube screen capture, webcam or using an iPad. This can come in handy if you are attempting to flip your classroom and have videos you have created.
YouTube could be used as a spot to showcase, store and share the video creations of your class.
Within YouTube you can create playlists of videos, this can come in handy to organize the helpful videos you find to support the teaching and learning occurring in your classroom. These playlists can then be shared with the students for them to refer to an access from home. This can be helpful in areas such as mathematics where students could find help anywhere they have access to the internet.
